Arts Mark Gold Award

We have achieved Artsmark Gold Award!

The Arts Council England have awarded us Gold Award after our application last term to the Levelling Panel.  The judges were really impressed with our school and made the following comment…

“Your school was commended for its clear commitment to arts culture, reflective ethos ad strength of leadership.  Arts and culture are well embedded to support the delivery of your new curriculum and a wide range of internal and external activity is offered for pupils.  One panel member commented, “I particularly liked the idea of “Our school film about why we love reading”.  What a super way to promote Literacy through the arts!”

The panel recognised aspects of Platinum in your application, particularly with reference to leadership and values and ethos.  To further progress, the panel look forward to seeing how you develop practices to evidence the impact of your engagement with other schools and use pupil voice to support cultural planning.  Your school is awarded Artsmark Gold with clear aspirations for Platinum.  Congratulations!”

As a Gold Artsmark school

Arts Council England celebrates our commitment to arts and cultural education at a leadership level and the opportunities embedded across our provision.  Our children and young people have equal opportunities to plan, experience, participate in, and evaluate a diverse range of high-quality arts and cultural activities and we recognise the importance of development opportunities delivered by specialists for our staff in these areas.  We engage with a range of arts and cultural organisations and can evidence the positive impact of these partnerships.  Our children and young people have an opportunity to further develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of arts and culture and we are working to share the expertise we have established.
